street names!

In most of Iranian cities streets have meaningful names. In my home town Shiraz many streets have got their names from the name of poets, philosophers, scientists, governors, gardens like: Hafez, Sadi, Ghaani, Manuchehri, Sooratgar,Vesal, Anvari, Mollasadra, Delgosha, Baghe Eram and Zand.
My childhood neighborhood was called “Abir Amiz” .A Boulevard which had been very green and delightful in the time of Hafez and is mentioned in his poems.
However, in cities appeared in the middle of a night like Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta streets have numbers: like 4 Ave SW, 4 Ave NW, 4 AVE SE, 4 St SW, 4 St SE !!
