Lonliness

In the apartment that I live usually each person has two dogs. Last week, I saw a man wearing shoes for his dog. The poor dog could hardly walk with those stupid shoes on the slippery ground.
In front of my apartment on the other side of the street, there is a Salvation Army retirement residence. I went to ask them if I could do any voluntary job for Christmas time. When the staff was explaining me about what I could do, I started to cry. It is a sad story when people spend more time for their dogs than for the other helpless human beings.

There are many centers in Canada that really appreciate volunteers and I was thinking if we don’t have money, we can at least do something. The Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Diabetes Association always need help. When we are happy with our own lives we forget that the loss of obvious things in lives of others can make so man problems. For example, for a woman who has diabetes it is very risky to give born to a child or a woman who has lost one of her breast in breast cancer may feel lonely.
