I wonder how a human can become an over-human (Uber-mensch) !
For the last few weeks, I’ve met so many interesting people in my life that have changed the view I see the world.
Two weeks ago, I saw the chair of international year of fresh water in a trip to Rocky Mountains. He had spent most of his life working and researching on many subjects related to cultural landscapes of Alberta. He also presented me his book “Water and our way of life”, a very magnificent book about the importance of fresh waters in our life and to our identity.
I also saw two other admirable persons. One of them was an Iranian architecture professor. Having such a generous and lovely personality, he was from those kinds of people who love to teach and do something important for promotion of the quality of life on earth. On the last day of a 3 day conference, he stated a very nice comment about my city Shiraz “The only city in the world where people make pilgrimages to the tomb of a poet”!!
The other person I saw was a geographer professor, and an author on my favorite subjects of sense of place and placelessness. His power of analyzing and giving advises on different subject (even on the subject of photography) opened many ways of critical thinking on my mind. I don’t know how to thank the director of our program for bringing so much brilliant thoughts on our program.
