The Curtain

On March 4th, the last book of Milan Kundera, the Curtain, is published. I really like the way Kundera has strong opinion about everything. (I mean in realm of literature and related fields).
By going through the history of novel, he draws out his poetic view on novel writing. He describes his last book as being invited to one’s painting studio and the feeling that one can have by being glazed by paintings while they gradually start to express themsleves. Through the whole book one can feel sitting in a pleasant café listening to Kundera's monolog about everything.
The name of the book “the curtain” refers to pre-interpretation of reality that Kundera considers it as a mask that can cover the lies of bureaucracy, the fight for power, and the greediness of human being; so, Kundera believes that the curtain needs to be thorn down.For this purpose he introduces different examples. In his idea even though the Cervantes was writting before modern time, his novels were deconstructive for his period.
By the whole, he offers the secret of how to read his previous books is his last publication.
