I think one of the biggest problems of North America is obesity. It is one of the problems that like mobility reaches to its contradiction and is less spoken in compare to other problems; indeed, it is spoken in a ridiculous way. In one aspect the life style of North America enforces people to eat fast food or eat a lot, and leave to time for exercise by driving a long way from home to work. In the other aspect, on the cover of all beauty magazines talking about getting ride of obesity in one week is the main subject!
Still, no matter how widespread obesity is discussed on cover of the magazines, it is a problem that is less deeply spoken and its roots are less discovered. In the whole two years I was in University of Calgary, I saw very few researches being done about the causes of obesity. It is a problem that everyone has accepted it as a fact or they are afraid to seriously talk about it.
What bothers me is the fact that people usually look good before their marriage and a few months after it they start to over-shape. It seems the concept of beauty in our society is replaced with more important subjects like how to make more money and then to spend it!
